Title: DA Meeting at the Three Broomsticks
Author: Bluejeanphoenix
Pairing: H/G, R/H
Word count: 100
House: Hufflepuff
Rated: G
Challenge: Box
Author notes: ’m really interested in what happened BETWEEN Voldie’s downfall and the Crapilogue Epilogue. I see this as maybe the first anniversary of Voldie’s downfall - I picture a big DA / Gryffindor meet-up at the Three Broomsticks.

“So I figured, ‘Why wait?’” Ron said proudly, one arm draped around Hermione and the other clinking a butterbeer with Harry.

“Show us again, Hermione!” squealed Parvati.

Hermione shyly held up her left hand, where a tiny diamond sparkled on a slender gold band.

“Bit small, innit?” Lavender stage-whispered.

“Oi,” Ginny snarled, “Let’s see yours, then!”

Lavender blushed and stalked towards the bar, fuming.

“Bit of a low blow, eh?” Harry chuckled, “Especially from another singleton.”

“Single!” Ginny snorted, “Mum’s already asked if we’ve set a date. You’d better hop to.”

Harry smiled, the little box warm in his pocket.

Title: Moving Day
Author: Bluejeanphoenix
Pairing: H/G
Word count: 100
House: Hufflepuff
Rated: G
Challenge: Box
Author notes: A month or two later, after R/H have moved out of Grimmauld Place, it's time for H/G to follow suit.

“That’s the last box,” Ginny huffed, heaving Harry’s textbooks into the back of the truck. She glanced over her shoulder at the Muggles across the street, and lowered her voice.

“I still don’t see why we can’t live in a magical community. You can’t tell me you’d miss the heavy lifting!”

Harry just smiled crookedly, as he hooked together the last bungee, and looked at Grimmauld Place’s somber exterior. So much loss.

Ginny followed his gaze, and sighed.

“On the other hand,” she said, more softly, “Maybe it will be nice…to get away from the wizarding world for a while.”

Title: Making the most of your boredom
By: flutterbybitz
House: Hufflepuff
Word Count: 100.
Characters: Ron, Hermione age 22
Challenge: flat
Author's Notes: flat: 2. (adj.) lacking interest or emotion; dull and lifeless  3. (adv.) below the true or normal pitch of a musical sound

"See you later, mate," said Ron, clapping Harry on the back before shutting the door behind him. Turning, he saw Hermione in his otherwise empty flat. She sat slouching on his couch, looking up at the lighting fixture on his ceiling. Smiling slightly,  he crossed the small room to crash onto the seat next to her.

She spared him a look. "So."

"So."

Silence. Then, "B flat."

"What?"

"That note your lights hum. The note is B flat."

"......Are you very bored?"

"Unbelievably."

"So am I." A pause, then he smirked at her. "What's a pair like us to do?"

This week(s), Ravenclaw beats Hufflepuff, 20-10.

New Prompt: Flat.

Because I have to move in the next couple-three weeks, so places of habitation are on the brain. However, you can write about someone being irritated about lack of boobage, or traveling a very unhilly terrain, or shoes with no noteworthy heel elevation.

Title: Formidable
By: flutterbybitz
House: Hufflepuff
Word Count: 100.
Characters: Some Weasley grandchildren
Challenge: boot
Author's Notes: Takes place right after the epilogue of DH. James teases Victoire about the scene he witnessed between her and Teddy Lupin.

“So.” A smirk spread across James’s face. “Enjoy saying your goodbyes, Victoire?”

His oldest cousin appeared to ignore him and flipped open her magazine with a little more force than was necessary.

“Teddy sure seemed to,” continued James, undeterred.

“James…” Fred began warningly.

James grinned at him. “How long have you two been saying your goodbyes in such an affectionate—!”

There was a flurry of clothes, a loud bang, and James was booted out of the compartment. The door slammed shut in his face as he landed heavily and from inside, he heard Dominique comment: “Ma soeur est formidable, non?”

Character: Bellatrix and Rodolphus Lestrange
Word count: 100
Rated: PG
Challenge: Boot
House: Ravenclaw

"And why can't we just apparate?"

"I told you," snapped Bellatrix, rummaging in a dumpster that smelled of vomit, "no one can apparate straight into the Dark Lord's hideout, this is the most direct way."

A cold breeze swept the alleyway, noisily blowing a newspaper closer to them. Rodolphus held his lit wand higher, checking both ends of the alleyway.

"Here it is!" shouted Bellatrix. She held up a stringless brown boot with a broken heel.

It glowed blue, lighting up the contents of the dumpster, and Rodolphus grabbed it by the toe. They vanished from the spot and the alley was dark again.

Title: Foundation
House: Slytherin
Word Count: 100
Characters/Pairings: Marietta Edgecombe, Cho Chang
Author's Notes: My very first drabble! Makeup is serious business.
__________

There's a portrait of a young Rowena Ravenclaw in the girl's bathroom. She's wearing a fresh green frock and violet blooms in her hair. Marietta once asked Anthony whether there was a similar picture in the boy's bathroom. He said there wasn't.

Cho stands in front of the portrait, silently handing Marietta bottles. Rowena doesn't seem very interested in what they're doing. She's reading a book, absent-mindedly twirling one of her violets.

Marietta tries not to cry. It seems selfish when Cho's survived so much worse. But as she plasters on makeup, she feels as though she's lost something, too.

Title: Life Goes On
Challenge: hp100  - stream and slytherin100  - dull
Pairing: Pansy/Luna
Words: 100
House: Slytherin
Author's Note: Post DH. o.o I spelled Xenophilius right on my first try! *shocked* ^^;

It annoyed her beyond thought, the dull look on Luna's face as she spoke about her father's death. Pansy disliked Xenophilius greatly, but the man had given her one good thing.

"Don't you care at all that he died?"

"Of course I do, but the stream of life must go on."

Pansy snapped then.

"Why don't you just say what's on your mind and stop playing with words!"

A blank look was her answer. Disgusted, Pansy turned away, only to hear a small sniffle behind her.

"My parents are both dead now. What more do you want of me, Pansy?"

Title: What Percy Likes
House: Slytherin
Word count: 100
Challenge: Rank
Rating: G
Characters: Percy Weasley

Percy likes order. Percy likes hierarchy. Percy also – although he blushes and has to realign the pencils on his desk if he thinks too much about Things Like That – likes strong women. In particular, women who understand the beauty of rules, rank and rigour. He smiles at the thought. Alliteration is, in Percy’s opinion, a very neat sort of joke.

The kittens watch him suspiciously. Percy doesn’t like the kittens. But her smile is bright and brisk, and he does like that.

“Thank you Mr Weasley!” she trills, and takes the papers.

Percy really likes people who remember his name.

Title: What Little Girls Are Made Of
By: Hiddenshallows
Pairing: Molly/?
Word count: 100
Rated: G
Challenge: Spice
House: Slytherin

Molly Prewett flung herself onto her bed, puffing. Furtively checking the room, she unclenched her fist and looked at the asymmetrical stone bottle in her hand. She read the note again.

“A beautiful woman deserves the most beautiful hair. Happy Birthday xx”

She opened the bottle, and the smell of cinnamon flooded the air. She half snorted, half giggled. Then patted her hair, blushing. Some people.

Years later, Ginny Weasley also flung herself onto her bed, crying. She didn’t understand why her mum was so cross about her new shampoo. “Spice is best left in cakes” was all she’d said.

Title: Home Cooking
House: Slytherin
Word Count: 100
Pairing: Severus Snape/Argus Filch-ish
Author’s Note: n/a

Hogwarts food is all spice and no substance. Elf-made, it's nothing but gruel with nutrition and flavour and texture magicked in. Every bite is perfectly seasoned and perfectly the same.

Severus is no epicure, but he can tell the difference. It's due to the sandwiches - the ones Filch brings by whenever he's worked through dinner again. Roast beef usually, too rare in the middle with salty charring around the edges. Hard bread and sharp pickled beetroot. He cleans his plate as he rarely does in the Great Hall.

There's something to be said, perhaps, for simple but honest fare.

Title: Bored Criminal
Challenge: serial
Characters: Hermione, Ginny
Words: 100
House: Slytherin
Author's Note: Just a small moment between a bored Ginny and an unsuspecting Hermione.
-----

"Did you know that it takes more muscles to frown then to smile?" Ginny said.

"Does it now?" Looking up from the book she'd been reading, Hermione watched her friend.

A rainy Saturday meant no Quidditch for the day. That left Ginny bound indoors, bored. Hermione was a good friend, however, she lacked the stimulus Ginny needed to be entertained. Speaking of which, she smiled oddly, making Hermione set her book down.

"What?"

"Did you know about the criminal in the dorms?"

"Criminal?"

Standing, Ginny approached her friend, giggling. "Yes, she's a serial tickler!" Ginny shouted, throwing herself at Hermione.

Title: Bertie Bott's
Challenge: threat
Characters: James Potter, Sirius Black
Words: 100
House: Gryffindor
Author's Note: Happy Birthday, James!  Sorry mate, it's looking like Slytherin might win the House Cup this week.

***

THWACK!

James' eyes shot awake.  A pink bean rolled down his pillow and under his coverlet.  His gaze darted right for the culprit...

Sirius lounged, pyjama-clad, on his four-poster, one hand poised mid-air, the other clutching a box of Bertie Bott's.  Motorbike magazines littered his bed.

"About time you woke up."  He grinned roguishly.

James snorted.  "About time you started hitting your targets."

"Careful, got a whole box left."  Sirius rattled the carton menacingly.

"Oooo, such a threat..."  James shuddered then hoisted the coverlet in time for another pelting.

THWAAACK!

"Those better not be my beans, you knob!"

Sirius laughed.

Title: A Witch Scorned
House: Slytherin
Word Count: 100
Character: Severus Snape, Eileen Prince
Author’s Note: n/a

"Is that supposed to be a threat, Eileen?"

She smiled slowly and grimly. "It's a promise, darling."

When Severus returned home after his second year at Hogwarts, he discovered that his father no longer lived there. "He's run off," Mam said, "and good riddance to him."

He didn't question it, at least not aloud. However, he couldn't help but notice that the belladonna in the garden had been pulled up. When asked, none of the neighbours seemed to remember Tobias Snape very clearly at all.

In all fairness, Mam had warned Dad what would happen if he didn't stop drinking.

Word Count: 100
Character: Angry Quibbler readers
Author’s Note: This is about the reaction to Harry's interview for The Quibbler

"Harry Potter is a brat!" Mrs. Gibbon shouted. "He's making it up! This lie is so elaborate! He and Dumbledore must have carefully weaved this story along with the Order of the Phoenix, for their own publicity."

"He's creating an army of trolls who believe this rubbish," her husband added. "Well, I'd like to seize one of their massive clubs and beat The Boy Who Lied over the head with it."

"I should send him a howler," said Mrs. Gibbon. "I only wish I could see his weak little face when I shout dozens of threats over his morning sausages."
