Came back to LJ...

Briefly, or not, not sure yet. I've spent the last couple of days re-reading here and damn do I miss writing.

Maybe enough time has passed and we have enough book separation now to start up again?

Quill and Ink

Title: Quill and Ink
House: Gryffindor
Word Count: 100.
Characters/Pairings: Hermione Granger

One of Hermione’s greatest pleasures when she first discovered she was a witch was writing. With long weeks stretching ahead of her until she would head off to Hogwarts, her parents had gently parted her from her new wand before she ended up setting her bed covers on fire. Still she had her schoolbooks, some parchment and needed to learn to write with a quill.

She filled the rolls easily with notes from her reading, her handwriting improving as she went. The smooth flow of the ink, the scratch of the quill against parchment; opening a doorway into another world.

New Prompt: Write

It's a Gryffindor-Ravenclaw tie at 10 each.

As so many people seem to be participating in NaNo or some other November writing challenge, let's bring our characters in, too.

New Prompt: Write

"Venom" (Harry/Draco, PG, 100)

Title: Venom
Characters or Pairing: Harry/Draco, Ron
Word Count: 100
Rating: PG
House: Ravenclaw
Warnings: None
Challenge: Whether at hp100 , and continuation of a drabble for Autumn at hd100 .
Author's Notes: Slightly altered bit of a fanfic I'm writing.

Ron swats Harry’s hands away from the soaked bandages around his middle, beginning to re-wrap them.

“It doesn’t matter whether you wrap them up again or not.” Harry tells him, leaning gratefully into Draco’s side, letting hands attempt to smooth his hair.

“Yes, it fucking does!” Draco snarls.

“No.” Harry corrects him, sympathetic. “It’s not going to heal any time soon. I saw the spell that hit me: it re-created old wounds.”

Draco shakes his head, “We can’t heal your stomach again?”

“We can.” Ron blanches, as Harry grimaces. “We can’t heal his arm.”

“The Basilisk venom.”
